New fashion designers need to expose their concepts to the public in order to become established. Often lacking the funds to rent a permanent space to allow physical engagement with their brand is increasingly tough with today's economic climate. With this issue in mind, a collaborative project between myself and young fashion designer, Lianna Sheppard, began with an aim to create an adaptable retail environment.
As opportunities can arise unexpectedly in the design world, the modular concept created can be re-shaped to suit a number of situations such as fashion events, markets and pop up shops. Experimenting physically though models of all scales and questioning practicality during the design process has led to a solution which can easily be folded away ready to take to the next location. A mutual passion and appreciation for geometric shape, angular forms, bold design and colour strengthened the collaboration which has resulted in an adaptable design with a strong visual impact complimenting and attracting attention the brand.
