Focusing on the ideas and social narrative of abjection, dysphoria and the lived experience of the rejected, Mike uses mixed media to illustrate his ongoing motivation to give a voice to the disabled and those we see as outsiders, foriegn to the natural order. Within this he intends to document the displacement of self and the disconnection wrought by illness and the breaking down of bodies and by extension, how society treats them.
