Lauren Leppard MA Contemporary Performance
TYPECAST is a solo performance exploring the experience of an aspiring actress stuck in a cycle of insecurity, jealousy and rejection. Set in an industry governed by sexism and racial stereotype, we follow the actor as she auditions for three 'typecast' roles. These auditions are juxtaposed with stand up comedy, musical numbers and fantastical deepfakes in this work of post-dramatic theatre.
