a lifelong obsession with sci-fi has culminated in a mixed media exploration into escapism: alien and space themed wordplay; a nursery rhyme as fanfiction; tardigrades turned space explorers.
as a disabled and neurodivergent artist, using a variety of processes to create along this topic has been therapeutic – the calming intricacies of stitching fabric in a patchwork or pages in a book, and the satisfaction of reproducing drawings into risoprints. turning special interests into visual communication across time and space.
