Adam Rogerson is a painter living and working in Levenshulme, Manchester. His expansive canvases are loose, vibrant meditations on the human condition that tread the line between figuration and abstraction. His work explores the idea of painting as object through expressive paint handling that focuses on creating optical effects.
Rogerson is the founder of manchester-based artists' collective 'Beyond the Capital'. Recent shows include: 'Beyond the Capital' at Saan1, 'Devotion' at FG Gallery, 'Shadowists' at Saan1 and In/Tanginble at SEESAW.
