The language in my practice is inspired by the fluidity of the nautical environment of my childhood in Spain, in contrast with the weight of mankind. This dichotomy manifests in my balance of colour, form and space, and in the materials I reimagine: balloons, plastic, water, expanding foam, etc.
I attempt to create entirely original visuals. I feel that the excitement and challenge lie in the experimentation as I aim to explore new ideas. I have imprecise visual goals at the outset and work towards artwork in a subjective manner, making discoveries in the process of executing my painting.
I enjoy the challenge of producing images which are abstract yet tangible, whilst remaining at the same time meaningful. My aim is to create dynamic, dream-like images that resonate on an emotional level.
