Elizabeth Atherton's practice investigates the relationship between subjective and objective time; questioning the contrast between the human experience of time and its scientific measurement. Her work centres around timed, abstract mark making to produce a ‘whole’, and the subsequent systematic division of that surface based on the length of time spent drawing.
