Haris Ioannou
Through her Bachelor degree in Trend Forecasting at the University of East London, Haris has studied market research and future trend prediction in fashion, design, architecture and technology. Through her internship at Stylesight, a trend forecasting company, she discovered some new talents in layout design and textiles. She then decided to carry on with her studies through Masters in Graphic Design and Art Direction at Manchester School of Art, to expand her knowledge around the design world to be able to present her forecasting ideas creatively. Her recent practice is focused on the concept of 'Imperfect Designing' where she chose to re-invent unwanted objects and processes. Working with digital embroidery has been a new experience for her as well as the collaboration with filmmakers to reveal the contrasts between the digital and the physical development of her work. Haris' goal is to promote her personality and life experiences through her practice within innovative approaches.
