I create hand-made British knitted accessories using locally sources yarns and uniquely crafted techniques to make authentic fabrics. My work derives from the industrial seascapes of North West England and the compositions within each accessory convey a sense of location. To recall a place or memory through the language of constructed textiles is a key element to my making process and a strong aesthetic aspect within my practice. Each accessory is designed to be interpreted by each individual, to be a worn portable memory and a decoration for the home environment. A personal recollection that is cherished, wearable and timeless.
