Oluwafemi Ogunnote

Oluwafemi, a Creative Designer, boasts a diverse skill set encompassing Illustration, Branding and identity, Web, UI/UX, and Product Development. His profound fascination with various facets of the creative design industry is evident throughout his career.

His synthesis project involved crafting a wayfinding system for Manchester Arndale Centre, ingeniously blending the rich heritage of Yoruba Language from Nigeria with universally recognized icons. This comprehensive system covers Icons, Typography, Signages, and Supergraphics, resulting in a harmonious fusion of cultural and visual elements. To ensure clarity and usability, Oluwafemi has thoughtfully prepared a Wayfinding Design Guidance that clarifies the inner workings of the system.

In earlier phases of his MA journey, Oluwafemi delved into the art of pattern-making, drawing inspiration from Nigerian celebrations in the Northern regions. Additionally, he found creative inspiration from the works of esteemed artists such as Ade Adekola, Paula Scher, Emil Dervish, Lella, and Massimo Vignelli. These experiences have contributed to his well-rounded expertise in the world of design.
