I am a figurative artists, currently painting ancient forms as a means of exploring surface, shape and material. I am interested in the connections between the art of sculpture and painting and the similarities between them as modes of carving out form with the use of a malleable and versatile materials, paired with ideas of image reproduction and the way in which the had of the artist is represented or otherwise disguised in the painting.
