Gregory Howard

Greg Howard is a painter living and working in Salford. He completed his BA at Manchester School of Art in 2022 and was a winner of the 2022 Freelands Painting prize.
Across his canvases, cylindrical, spherical and rectangular forms coalesce and separate, dividing up and creating space that is at once plausible but often unnavigable. Earthy greens and ochres point to a time past, while the forms are arranged into structures previously unseen, suggestive of a future yet to come or perhaps one that never arrived.
