Chester Bell
MA Filmmaking
Chester Bell is a Manchester-based filmmaker, interested in creating absurd stories, grounded in reality. Beginning with a BA in Politics, he decided to pursue an old interest in filmmaking two years ago.
Through his degree, he gradually developed a particular love for screenwriting. He enjoys telling stories which begin with a focus on fairly normal characters, in normal scenarios, before gradually letting the story descend into the abnormal, with the characters facing obstacles greater than themselves. With Destroy The Earth, he has also tried his hand at directing and editing.
He currently has a couple of screenplays in the works, hoping to write his first feature film.
