Sarah Kostick

Completing her MA as a distance learner, Sarah's research reflects upon the journey that has led her towards working abroad, exploring her intrigue of the world, people and objects that inhabit it. Often drawn towards quiet, poetic narratives, Sarah's research focusses on the 'golden stain of time' (Ruskin, 1849), exploring the serendipitous outcomes and imperfect marks that form over a lifespan of existence. Communicated through concept, process, colour and materiality the outcomes reflect her observations and translate into contemplative ceramic objects. Unbound to any one medium, or technique – Sarah lets the materials guide her choices, often resorting to unconventional applications of manipulation.
