Being a fan of comic books and inspired by creatives such as Grant Morrison, David Lynch and Francis Bacon, I primarily work with comics - deconstructing and reconstructing the format in ways that enhance or change the narrative.

My practice during the MA has focused on how the creative identity of the artist - their personality, experiences, etc - are reflected in their work. How do I capture my own identity as an artist and convey it through an unconvetional narrative? Through my experiments with format, structure, narrative and personal experience, my final project is a non-linear comic book about my experiences with sleep paralysis, designed in an unconventional way that enhances the reading experience.
