My practice comments on ideas projected around the colour blue and ideologies and philosophies presented by various creative minds, writers and thinkers.
Exploring themes of temporality, flux and natural contexts, the images attempt to challenge aesthetic ideals around how we view sculptural forms, pulling influence from the ideas of those commenting on ’blue’ and its scientific and poetic creative connotations, via the likes of Milan Kundera, Rebecca Solnit, Maggie Nelson, Yves Klein, Mark Rothko and others. My images are an interference with the natural world. They are an attempt at connecting with its continual yet ordered change, both fleeting and resonant in their nature and never permanent, bur for their documented photographic form.
