My photographic practice explores notions of the everyday and personal life experience. I am interested in creating performances and constructing images that intepret this subject, considering the individual and wider society. Autoethnographic research methods provide a framework for my ideas to develop within combined with visual inspiration from a variety of sources including fashion photography and documentary images.
The project, 'A Herculean Task' concentrates on the human experience of anxiety and its varying manifestations. Through a collaborative process of discussion, writing, improvisation and reflection, I have produced a series of pieces with the performer Ali Bell that sought to portray conflicting emotions in relation to anxiety.
