Josephine O'Sullivan

Working as an interdisciplinary graphic designer, the basis of my practice consists of the meditative values that objects have on our lives. Incorporating the everyday and familiar forms into a workshop based arrangement, it invites the audience to take a creative, abstract and tactile approach to these objects. Through this, it highlights the importance of the process taking place itself. Under the theme ‘Objects of Concentration’, the process aims to slow down and empty the mind. Amongst a mind dominated culture, it allows one to become more mindful and in the present moment. This is achieved simply through interaction and observation of the artwork.
