"Breathing" is essential enough to maintain human life, however, is so in synch with our bodies' rhythm that most of the time we will not be even aware of its existence. In daily observation, I gradually discovered the essence of breath, which is life, sharing and cycle, is similar to a lifecycle of paper.
When people breathe, a small portion of the exhaled air may be shared with humans. At the atomic level, people are more connected than we think. Furthermore, scientists found that the chemicals exhaled by the audience when sighing or screaming can point out a movie's emotional tone. This study indicates that gases could be a delicate tool of human communication. Similarly, paper existence records the culture and the memory of everyone. For instance, the newspapers on the bus, they exist in everywhere and are shared by people. Breath is also like a book in the library. Different people read the same book at different times and places, but they may have the same feeling for the same paragraph. It is like an invisible and subtle communication through books. Hence, I tried to present the breath with my handmade paper and some artworks.
