Simon Carter

My MA practice has seen a shift from working primarily with still images to the moving image. I have been interested in occupying a space between the two mediums. My concerns around social and political events are a driving force in my creative output. Using small tracts of concealed land, constantly revisiting over time, has been the focus of my creative vision over many years.

The current work investigates the notion of anxiety, incorporating sound and vision to construct through the use of Landscape, an allegorical observation on current global issues.
