Andrea Venero Carrasco

I am creative director based in fashion. The core of my practice is driven by identity, culture, space and experiences. My work is focused on the perks of global community, cultural exchange and collaboration.

With that in mind, my final MA project is based on language, as it is the expression and the symbol of belonging to a social and cultural group thus, is the method of human communication. Using coding, a universal programming language, I developed a system that allows to visualize any kind of written languages in patterns, in which a square is the design unit that contains real data.

A collection of portraits was created in collaboration with designers from different countries about their experiences in Manchester. The original pictures are taken by Angus Lee.
