Nowadays, people tend to be in a constant rush, time passes too quickly and it is hard to keep up. The period of being active within 24 hours is dictated by the length of our sleep, so if we sleep for 8 hours we have 16 hours to get everything done. This monophasic sleep cycle is followed by most of society. How about switching to polyphasic pattern and obtaining a few extra hours? My research proved it is possible and healthy.
Motivated by the enormous potential of light and nature I have created the space with their own sunrise and sunset that regulate life in the building. This place is designed to encourage people to try a new sleep pattern and discover a different lifestyle, prove it is effective, and connect the polyphasic society. The inhabitants are taken through the architectural journey where the time and place for a nap or a meal is specified. They are navigated by lit hexagons or triangles inspired by the form of the Moonflower which also has different `sleep` pattern.
