My interest in exploring things that I could touch and feel was the main reason of choosing Product Design as my BA specialization and MA in Jewellery Design. Furthermore, I always have a penchant for shapes and lines of an object. My work talks about people relation with objects.
Inspired by Memento Mori, otherwise known as mourning jewellery. Memento Mori ultimately signifies the core relationship between people and object that act as a substitute to their tribute and memory of the people who passed. Inspired by this mourning jewellery, I create an array of pieces that can be an emotional object for a person.
As a final product, I made jewellery pieces based on a memory of an individual triggered by the five senses. The project also based on five different subjects to represent each sense, which are sight (ophthalmoception), hearing (audioception), taste (gustaoception), smell (olfacoception or olfacception), and touch (tactioception).
