The Duplicates explores the complex emotions, hopes and fears provoked by raising a daughter in a world laden with expectations of women and their bodies. It is at once the most personal lamentation and yet bigger than any of us. 

Invoking the idea of duplication as something inherent in the process of giving birth to and raising a girl, the work also ponders the intersection between the personal and the social when it comes to understanding and fulfilling our roles as mothers and daughters.
