Coral Reef Vessels Collection

My MA practice became making unglazed sculptural vessels, were hand-built additions inspired by marine corals were added on the wheel- throw pots, bringing balance and contrast to the static structure of the pots.

My work is inspired by the corals with the motivation of bringing to the vessels an environmental issues narrative based on the corals reef threat.

I believe that my vessels collection, or my body of work, have the intention to alert the environmental problems, transmit beauty, clay texture, movement, rusticities, abstraction, non-functional, organic forms, and some forms of the traditional craft.
