Hiraeth
Hiraeth is a Welsh word used to describe a longing for home it far exceeds the feeling of homesickness it is much deeper than that, it's a sorrowful separation from your homeland the only remedy is to go back and only then will you feel close to peace. Paradoxically hiraeth is also tinted with a sense of loss which means that there will always be something missing, to feel hiraeth is to feel a deep incompleteness and recognise it as familiar. It's a place discussed but never truly revealed. I don't revisit wales just for the present I also go for the past this is also the nature of hiraeth. It's about stories and events, a part of my own life and the life of others although it is never truly there, merely a few threads that form the fabric of life.
