My creative practice's motto is
Make things and tell stories!
Because I believe making is tactile learning that enriches one's tacit and explicit knowledge whether done in private or communally. As we live in material world touch is one of the ways to study it and manipulating materials is the way to understand physics of it but it all needs to be done with awareness and respect to our environment.
And 'telling stories' is something we all do to make sense of world around us. Ever noticed whilst your hands is busy doing things there is a constant narrative forming in your head? Especially when one makes things, these things carry a story of its maker.
Also story telling is the way we communicate. When one reviles its tale and there is a good listener; I believe understanding forms between them.
