Catherine is a captive, kidnapped by Dave at the age of nine and kept hidden from the world in his late Mother's house.
Katie is neglected, an absent Father and a disinterested Mother, she comfort eats and looks for attention by posting videos of herself singing online.
Years of abuse have separated Catherine from her feelings, her will to escape has diminished. The girls connect online and overcome loneliness and isolation by forging a bond which will bring them to the point of either destruction or redemption.
Through their friendship Catherine rediscovers her sense of self and the desire for freedom.
