Katie Lea
Having graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2011, I am a British graphic designer with with experience of working internationally, predominantly in Sweden and Australia, now freelancing for well established UK based-studios. Specialising in graphic design I enjoy exploring the possibilities of paper and the printed word, taking up both commissioned work and independent projects.
As a graphic designer I believe in the power of communication. Through the translation of text and image we can make a difference to how people digest information, shaping the everyday into a more exciting, more functional and more straightforward place to live in. Design facilitates culture and thus graphic design has the potential to create ambient experiences which cut through barriers and promote social responsibility. Graphic design is a tool and I am its apprentice.
