Ilsa Parry
Ilsa Parry is a Multidimensional Design Deviant whose practise is unconventional and complex. Split between decadent interior collections & cross platform interaction, her process involves a divergent system for metamorphosis. Ilsa combines image, form and space to craft subliminal nuance as symbiotic mutant gesture.
Ilsa has a diverse profile as a multidimensional practitioner, with specialist knowledge of product design and art direction. Ever keen to share her experiences, she has served as a features editor for Design Exchange magazine, and her industrial, academic and commercial projects are published in a range of books and multiple press articles. Ilsa has won a series of awards for her work which has an international influence from time spent working in France, Brazil and Holland. Her work has been exhibited widely in the United Kingdom, and internationally in Melbourne, Gothenburg and Paris.
Ilsa has co-presented a documentary on Brazilian design for the Discovery Channel and is perhaps best known as the winning designer on BBC2 Design for Life with Philippe Starck. This experience resulted in a place at Starck's agency for 6 months in Paris, learning from major industry brands such as Kartell, Magis, MCSaatchi GAD and Landor.
