Inspired by Bernardo Bertolucci's sensuality and Sergei Parajanov's poetical style, have influenced my filming by using symbolic and mythological elements. It's for that reason why my works are abstract as the action is focused on what is going on inside the character, and their state of mind. During the filming process I am usually experimenting with close-up shots of objects, which are either a part of the narrative thread or symbols on a screen. . My passion in working with different colour palettes, in particular blue has greatly influenced my cinematography, As well as that I have a desire for creating and developing a character rather than developing a storyline narrative.
NIVRAM — A coming-of-age short film full of inspiration and imagination tells the story of a boy who dreams to become an artist and the mermaid who helps him to overcome his anxiety and panic attacks. NIVRAM explores the hardships of a teenager maturing and the difficulties in adapting to something new and a fear of the future. The film explores a father and son relationship and the topic of acceptance and non-acceptance as a creative personality.
