Currently my sculpture explores the tensions that I can create through the experience of colour and progressive materials such as Lycra and Perspex. The work is greatly influenced by 'Hypermodernity' and the seamless beauty of the technology we use, which have become an intrinsic part of life.
Alongside these modern materials I work with more humble materials such as wood and clay, which reflects the traditions of sculpture and painting.
Working in sculpture, but with clear references to painting, I test the limitations of the materials by creating 'pent-up' energy and tensions while working on the wall, floor and through the architectural space.
