Project Title: Field Experiments in the Lune Valley.
"Human survival depends upon the human parasite finding a mutualistic accommodation with the planetary host." Lynn Margulis
The pastoral English landscape of the Lune Valley is slowly decaying due to centuries of overgrazing, land drainage and floodplain erosion. Informed by the principles of mutualism, the project offers a landscape methodology that utilises pre existing site conditions as hosts, operating as platforms for symbiotic process interaction. This agro-scientific approach positions a set of location sensitive tactics to evolve 'naturally', providing the necessary mechanism for repairing the broken relationship between the biocentric and anthropocentric.
