The work hopefully asks to be heard, it invites the viewer to listen closely and take notice of the unnoticeable, the unseen, the everyday. Through the language of the micro-gesture, small things become the focal point for a different way of looking at the world around us.

Using thread to intervene in daily objects, and trace new lines, gives new identities, through a visual amplification of meaning. The emotional driver exists in the viewer's perception of the work, rather than the work itself.

Using a simple man's white shirt as a lens, the work has been influenced by the desire for identity and communication which is a natural instinct in humans, realised through the use of digital embroidery, which references the small iterations we make in personal dressing and styling habits.
