My work is an exploration between the importance of imagery and techniques of embroidery. Working with photography, image manipulation and embellishment such as beadwork and hand stitch. I focus on exploring the nature of fabric, injecting simple splashes of colour through stitch and beadwork thus creating elegant and delicate pieces of embroidery. These fabric explorations create images that capture different elements of the original piece; and generating a series of prints that show colour and fabric manipulation. Each piece is bespoke, delicately embroidered and neatly finished to create multi purpose pieces of fabric. Inspired by the environment that surrounds us, my work takes on elements of shape, form, connections to colour and texture, which are all inspired by the surrounding location.
