The aim of my MA project has been to rebrand science and to update its public perception as a purely academic and largely remote discipline. I have designed an initiative, Alchemy, that uses landmarks of popular culture such as films, books and video games and extracts the underlying scientific principles, allowing a new window on science and a new entry point into the many concepts within. Through using a mostly untried cross-media method I hope to rekindle the sense of wonder and the inherent compelling narrative found within areas of science, moving away from its association with inaccessible equations and complex technical language.

This exercise has allowed me to explore branding and advertising deeply and allowed to me experiment with mixing themes prevalent across different disciplines, such as a science, media and events design.
