Installation and daily 'screenings' created from woven film, unspooled film projectors and lenses. The woven film contains approximately 228,800 individual photographs and is constructed from 4700 feet/1433 metres of feature film: A Gift of Sight (unknown release date) – colour 16 mm The Man Who Knew Too Little (released 1997) – colour 35mm That's Entertainment (released 1974) – colour super 8mm The Wonderful Lie (released 1934) – black and white 9.5mm

Mary Stark is an artist, photographer and filmmaker based in Manchester. Her practice explores the materiality of celluloid film and encompasses a broad range of digital and analogue skills. She is beginning a PhD exploring the shared language of film and stitch. Supported by a Cornerhouse Micro Commission, her work has developed into photographic prints, textile objects, installation and digitally woven video and sound. Before studying MA Photography, she completed a degree in Embroidery and worked in a variety of roles in the arts, education and media production.
