My current work explores experiences of time and the creation of space. I am interested in the fleeting and incidental moments of encounter that sit on the realms of the felt and unseen and go beyond the thresholds of language. A space where we experience suspension or pauses that punctuate and draw attention to the interval between thought and action.
This work developed in response to ideas around breath as an elemental and universal expression of existence, placing an observer in a space, at a moment in time. Notions of liminality and the in-between are central themes in this work, which search for a language to express notions of presence and absence, the material and immaterial.
